Community

Clark Nuber is committed to the success of our people, our clients,
and the communities they’re a part of.

Community Service

Providing support and care to the communities in which we live and work is an important part of Clark Nuber’s culture. We have been recognized as one of Washington State’s Top Corporate Philanthropists and contribute to our local community through our company-wide “Caring, Serving, Giving” program, which includes:

Day of Caring

Each year Clark Nuber shuts down for one day so that we can participate in an all-firm volunteer day that benefits a local charity. Organizations we have worked with in the past include Jubilee Reach, Northwest Harvest, Gateway Medical Alliance, and YMCA.

United Way Campaigns

Each year we coordinate a United Way campaign. We raise funds through the annual campaign and a chili cook-off.

Food Lifeline’s Food Frenzy

We compete against other local businesses to raise funds and food for hungry children in our community during the summer months.

Treehouse Pajama Drive

Every December Clark Nuber PS partners with Treehouse to provide pajamas to foster kids.

Holiday Giving Trees

Each year we work with an organization to adopt several families to provide for that holiday season. We decorate trees representing each family with tags listing wishes from each family member. Our folks then take a tag and fulfill the wish, leaving the gift-wrapped present under the tree.

Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion

Clark Nuber is dedicated to cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace. We strive to create an environment where employees are valued, empowered to positively support our business objectives and clients, and recognized for their individual and team contributions.

We believe that building an inclusive culture is essential for all our employees to bring their authentic, whole selves to work and experience a sense of belonging and support. We believe we are stronger as a team when we welcome diverse perspectives, experiences, and approaches to foster a stronger, smarter, and more informed organization. Our culture is to lead with respect and acceptance of difference. We expect all employees to embrace this principle and to express it in workplace interactions and through everyday practices.

We believe that people enhance our culture because of the differences that provide unique perspectives, leading to better understanding and more creative and powerful ideas. To provide informed, authentic leadership for diversity and inclusion, we aspire to:

  • Understand diversity and inclusion and their importance to ensuring the well-being of our staff and the communities we serve.
  • Question the assumptions that may interfere with inclusiveness.
  • Cultivate open-minded communication and cooperation between all employees and with clients.
  • Foster teamwork and employee participation, encouraging the representation of all groups and employee perspectives.
  • Contribute to the communities we serve to promote a greater understanding and respect for diversity.

CEO Action Pledge

Our shareholders are committed to supporting an inclusive workplace for our employees, our community, and for society at large. To this end, our CEO, Tom Sulewski, has signed the CEO Action Pledge; the largest CEO-driven business commitment to advance diversity and inclusion in the workplace. This pledge outlines a specific set of actions the signatory CEOs will take to cultivate a trusting environment where all ideas are welcomed, and employees feel comfortable and empowered to have discussions about diversity and inclusion.
