MIP: Basic Payroll and HR Workshop

The HR and Payroll workshop explains how to set up the payroll system and process payrolls. This course covers all aspects of setting up the payroll system for use. Participants set up the Payroll module in Administration then move into the Payroll system to set up the basic payroll codes. Participants will learn how to create customized benefit and leave plans in HR. Participants learn how to enter and adjust employee balances, as well as all of the steps for processing payroll. Participants also learn how to produce State and Federal Tax Reports and W-2 information. Various payroll reports will be discussed.

The MIP Fund Accounting Human Resource Management Module integrates with the Payroll module providing additional human resource management and payroll processing tools. This workshop covers important integration concepts, module setup procedures, and employee management. Participants will learn how to manage security, define organization specific fields, track organization educational and certification requirements, capture FMLA and EEO data, schedule employee events, and maintain complete employment history.
