About

With a wide-ranging and highly curious intellect, it comes as no surprise that Dan’s passion is learning.

When he’s not learning about his clients, he loves learning about science, music, and especially literature. He is a student of Shakespeare, Dante and Dickens. He enjoys a broad range of music from classical to modern blues. He also has a passion for running, hiking, skiing, spin classes and weight training. He loves long Sunday morning runs while listening to a good book or enjoying great music.  He loves writing and aspires to have some of his creating writing published someday.

Dan’s professional passion is providing solutions to the complex business and tax issues his clients face. His expertise in both federal and state taxation – not to mention his upbeat and responsive style – endears him to clients and colleagues alike. While many of his clients are mature businesses, he is also fascinated by technology ventures. Over the past 15 years, he has provided tax solutions to over 200 start-up technology companies. His current clients include fast-growth technology companies (i.e., software, online services and game development), life sciences ventures, and technology manufacturers. Dan is a thought leader in Clark Nuber’s technology practice and he also leads Clark Nuber’s research credit specialty group.  He frequently speaks on tax topics related to the technology industry, and is invited to post guest blogs on legal and accounting blog sites.  He is a founding Board Member and Treasurer for Washington Interactive Network.
