With a wide-ranging and highly curious intellect, it comes as no surprise that Dan’s passion is learning.

Since college, Dan has been devoted to enhancing his personal education. His interests range from particle physics to Shakespeare. He is a big fan of The Great Courses audio books. Dan also has a passion for exercise, including daily morning run/walks, riding his bike, and weight training.

Dan’s professional passion is consistently providing excellent client service. His upbeat, responsive approach and his listening skills endear him to clients and colleagues alike. He has extensive tax technical experience and enjoys tackling complex issues.

Dan’s primary focus is early stage technology ventures, and micro funds that invest in technology. His clients include software developers, online service providers, SaaS platform developers, game creators, private equity funds, and life sciences ventures. Over the past 20 years, he has provided tax solutions to over 300 start-ups.

Dan co-leads Clark Nuber’s technology team. His clients rely on his team of technical specialists for assistance with business entity/structure selection, equity compensation planning, preparing for and executing exit event transactions, state tax nexus studies, international business structuring, claiming federal research credits, tax provisions, and state and federal tax return preparation services.
