Enhabit, formerly known as Clean Energy Works, based in Portland, Oregon, was using QuickBooks until 2012. At that time, they were growing and needed customized reporting to track expenses by various cost centers, such as departments, restrictions, and revenue sources. In addition, Enhabit was looking for stronger internal controls and built-in audit trail functionality. Overall, QuickBooks was not meeting their current needs and wasn’t going to support future growth.

Enhabit researched Blackbaud’s Financial Edge, Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and MIP accounting software packages and requested demos of each. MIP® Cloud, was chosen due to the flexibility and customization of the GL chart of account segments, which enables them to run financial statements by department, by revenue source, and by location.
